Elena Brzozowski Attends Women in STEM Conference

2018 Jan 16

St. Lawrence University anthropology student Elena J. Brzozowski attended the Public Leadership Education Network's (PLEN) Women in STEM Policy Seminar in Washington, D.C., which took place Jan. 2 to Jan. 6, 2018.

Elena, a member of the Class of 2018, was one of four St. Lawrence women to attended the seminar, which offered college women a valuable opportunity to hear firsthand from women in science, health, and technology who are shaping the nation's STEM agenda. Students connected with senior women in the public, nonprofit and private sectors.

Senior Vina Smith-Ramakrishnan '18 of Whitesboro, New York, won the MVP award for the mock testimony she delivered during a Congressional hearing simulation. She represented the Environmental Protection Agency.
