Madeline Wetterhahn of Adams Elected To Phi Beta Kappa at St. Lawrence University

Madeline R. Wetterhahn of Adams has been elected to St. Lawrence University's chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the national academic honor society. Wetterhahn is a member of the Class of 2015 and is majoring in biology and English. She attended South Jefferson Central School.

Election to Phi Beta Kappa is one of the highest distinctions of academic achievement a student can obtain. Election is based on grade-point average and completion of appropriate credits toward a St. Lawrence University degree. To be considered, students must earn a 3.5 or better cumulative grade-point average by the close of their junior year and have completed six semesters at St. Lawrence. Transfer students must have completed four semesters before they are eligible for consideration.
