Nicolien Bongaerts Participates in St. Lawrence University's Summerterm Abroad

Nicolien Bongaerts, of New Canaan, studied in Ireland this summer as a participant in St. Lawrence University's Summerterm course there. A member of the class of 2011 at St. Lawrence, in Canton, New York, Bongaerts is a graduate of New Canaan High School.

Participants took two courses, Nationalism, Peace, and Conflict; and Literature, Popular Memory and Place. The courses included time spent in Dublin, Galway City, Connemara and the Aran Islands, as well as Belfast and Derry in Northern Ireland.

Bongaerts is a Performance and Communications Arts and History major at St. Lawrence.
